Composition refers to the way each of the shots is visually framed. Your choices of compositions can impact the way the audience experiences the narrative you are creating. Select the circles below for some common compositional examples.
Activity – composition
Visit the locations where you will be shooting your film and take still images in a range of compositions. Take a range of images with different compositions, experiment with camera placement to enhance the way you communicate your ideas to the audience.
Add the images to your logbook and annotate them with the composition name and guiding lines where appropriate. See the examples above.
